Who we are

Release Forge is a tool for independent artists to plan, prepare, and ship music releases. "We" refers to the operators of releaseforge.io. Contact: hello@releaseforge.io.

What we collect

Account & profile: email, stage name, legal name, avatar, region, PRO affiliations, IPI numbers, payout method.
Releases & tracks: metadata, artwork, uploaded audio files, ISRCs, notes, lyrics.
Splits & collaborators: names, roles, emails, split %, IPI numbers you enter.
Integrations: OAuth tokens for services you connect (Google, Dropbox, Spotify, Discord). Tokens are encrypted at rest.
Billing: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Usage: minimal server logs (IP, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

To run the app: pre-fill distributor forms, generate split sheets and rights PDFs, notify collaborators, and process payments. We do not use your releases, audio, or splits to train AI models.

How we protect it

Postgres with Row Level Security, so only you can read your rows.
OAuth tokens encrypted with a project-scoped key.
Storage buckets are private; assets served via short-lived signed URLs.
Payments processed by Stripe; card data never touches our servers.
Transport is HTTPS end-to-end.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share it with third parties except sub-processors strictly needed to run the service (Supabase for database/auth/storage, Stripe for billing, Resend for transactional email, your chosen OAuth providers when you connect them).

Marketing email consent

Transactional emails (collaborator invites, receipts, security notices) are always sent when relevant to your account.

Marketing emails (occasional product updates, feature launches, artist tips) are opt-in only. You can toggle this any time on your Master Profile, or unsubscribe from the footer of any marketing email.

Your rights

You can view, edit, export, or delete your data at any time from Settings → Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your releases, splits, integrations, and profile.

Cookies

We use strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and session. No third-party ad tracking.
